No fixed route, no fixed dates, no strangers in the vehicle. Tell us what you want from Scotland — a day or a fortnight, castles or coastline, one couple or a family of eight — and we’ll design the journey around it. Just after a single day out? Build one on our custom tours from Edinburgh page.
Start anywhere — Edinburgh, Glasgow, a cruise terminal, an airport or a Highland lodge. We build the map from your starting point, not ours.
Linger at the viewpoint or skip it entirely. Nothing is timetabled, and the plan can change on the morning if the weather or the mood suggests it.
Two of you or eight. The vehicle is yours alone, priced per vehicle rather than per seat — so travelling as a group costs less, not more.
Dates, group size, how long you have and what you’re drawn to. Rough is fine — “we like castles and we hate early starts” is enough to begin.
Within about a day you’ll have a suggested route, realistic timings, vehicle options and a clear per-vehicle price. No deposit to get this far.
Swap a stop, add a night, bring in a distillery or a golf round. We’ll also arrange accommodation and bookings if you’d rather not.
Your driver-guide arrives at the door on the morning. From there it’s your trip — and it can still change as you go.
Pick a thread and we’ll build a route around it — or mix several. These are starting points, not packages.
Stirling, Eilean Donan, Glamis and the fortresses that decided Scottish history — with the family stories behind them.
Speyside, Perthshire or Islay. Private tastings arranged in advance, and a driver who keeps the keys so nobody misses out.
Standing stones, great houses and the locations behind Outlander, Harry Potter and Braveheart — plus the real history.
Skye, Mull, Orkney or the wild north-west. Ferries timed, single-track roads driven by someone who knows them.
St Andrews, Carnoustie, Gleneagles and the hidden links. Tee times, clubs and transfers handled around your round.
Trace a family name back to its glen or graveyard. We'll research ahead and build the route around where your people came from.
One price for the whole vehicle, up to 6 guests — so a family of five pays the same as a couple. Longer trips are quoted at a reducing daily rate.
Fill in as much or as little as you like. We’ll come back within 24 hours with a suggested itinerary and a clear price — and you’re under no obligation to take it.
Up to 6 guests in comfort, with luggage. Larger parties are arranged with a second vehicle and a second driver-guide — just tell us the numbers and we’ll quote both options.
Anywhere that suits — a hotel or apartment, Edinburgh or Glasgow airport, a cruise terminal at Leith, Rosyth or Greenock, or a Highland lodge if you’re already up north. There is no fixed departure point.
Yes. On multi-day trips we can research and book accommodation to match your budget and location, from country house hotels to island inns. It is billed at cost and shown separately on your quote.
For May to September, as early as you can — the best driver-guides and rooms go first. Outside peak season a few weeks is usually plenty, and we can often help at short notice.
That is rather the point. If the weather turns, or somewhere captures you, say so and your guide will rework the day around it.
A deposit secures the date, with the balance due before travel. Card and bank transfer both accepted. Cancellation terms are set out in writing on your quote before you commit to anything.
Send us a rough idea and we’ll turn it into a proper itinerary — free, within 24 hours, with no obligation to book.
